Information:

 

The Community Advisory Board (CAB) on Public Safety Realignment is a 15-member body composed of twelve (12) Voting Members and three (3) Alternate Members.

 

Referral History and Update:

 

Currently, CAB has ten (10) Voting Member seats, with two (2) vacant seats, and one (1) Alternate Member, with two (2) vacant Alternate Member seats.

 

Two CAB Voting Members have subsequently resigned, resulting in two vacant Voting Member seats. CAB is considering approval of current Alternate Member Eric Jordan to fill one of the vacant Voting Member seats.

Eric Jordan (West)

Eric “EJ” Jordan is a Richmond, California-based radio personality, producer, and community organizer dedicated to advancing racial equity, social justice, and community engagement through storytelling and civic involvement. He began his media career in 2012 and has produced and hosted programs that amplify community voices and address issues affecting underserved communities. Eric has served in leadership roles within community media and currently serves on Rubicon Programs’ Participant Advisory Board. He has completed leadership development programs focused on civic engagement and community leadership, including the Boards & Commissions Leadership Institute and Civic Leadership Hub. Eric brings experience in media, advocacy, and community organizing, with a focus on criminal justice reform, public policy, and strengthening community partnerships. He hopes to contribute to the Community Advisory Board’s efforts to support successful reentry, restorative justice, and equitable community investments.

Nominations for CAB Voting Seats

If Eric Jordan is approved as a Voting Member, the 2026 CAB membership will include five (5) Voting Members representing West County, two (2) representing Central County, and four (4) representing East County, with three (3) vacant Alternate Member seats.
