RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #76-583-7 with Agiliti Health, Inc., a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $967,200, to provide preventative maintenance and repair services on biomedical equipment and systems at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) and Contra Costa Health Centers for the period of June 1, 2026 through May 31, 2029.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract will result in contractual service expenditures of up to $967,200 over a 3-year period and will be funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I revenues.
BACKGROUND:
This Contract requires access to proprietary systems unique to Contractor’s personnel. As such, the division is unable to use any other Contractor to fulfill these service requirements. Contractor will provide maintenance and repair services on Mesa Temperature Monitoring Systems for the Vaccines for Children Program, GCX End User Devices, Metro Flo Electronic Medical Record Workstations and HUGS Infant Security System, and biomed equipment, such as pumps, monitors, and automated external defibrillators. Contractor has been providing maintenance and repair services for the County since June 2017.
This Contract is entered into under and subject to the following legal authorities: California Government Code §§ 26227 and 31000. This Contractor was selected through the request for quotation (RFQ) process on April 6, 2026. CCRMC’s Quality Management, Utilization Management and Contract Monitor Staff meet on a regular basis to ensure monitoring and performance measures in the Contract are upheld. This Contract was approved by Health Services Personnel to ensure there is no conflict with labor relations.
On June 13, 2023, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #76-583-6 with Agiliti Health, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $998,000, for the provision of preventative maintenance and repair services on biomedical equipment and systems at CCRMC and Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period June 1, 2023 through May 31, 2026.
Approval of Contract #76-583-7 will allow the Contractor to continue to provide preventative maintenance and repair services on biomedical equipment and systems at CCRMC and Contra Costa Health Centers through May 31, 2029.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this Contract is not approved, County will not receive maintenance and repair services for complicated biomedical equipment and systems and patients will be negatively affected.
