IN THE MATTER OF Recognizing Royal Grand Duchess Rhonda D’Moore for her outstanding service, leadership, and advocacy on behalf of the LGBTQ+ community
WHEREAS, Royal Grand Duchess Rhonda D’Moore is a passionate community leader whose dedication to service, creativity, and connection has made a lasting and meaningful impact throughout the International Court System and the broader LGBTQ+ community; and
WHEREAS, for many years, Royal Grand Duchess Rhonda D’Moore has generously provided pro bono support to clients of Sunburst Projects, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to uplifting those in need and strengthening the lives of countless individuals through compassion and service; and
WHEREAS, as Stage Manager for the Sacramento Gay Men’s Chorus, she has brought exceptional organization, enthusiasm, and a love of performance to the arts community, helping create memorable experiences while fostering fellowship and joy; and
WHEREAS, during her reign, Royal Grand Duchess Rhonda D’Moore has represented her realm with distinction across California, Hawaii, New York, Alaska, and Canada, serving as an ambassador of goodwill while advancing the charitable mission of the International Court System; and
WHEREAS, alongside Royal Grand Duke Sammy Spencer, she has inspired community engagement and philanthropic support through innovative and successful fundraising events, including the beloved Royal $1.98 Pageant, the Royal Hearts Contest, and celebrations honoring Mister, Miss, and Mx Gay titleholders that showcase and elevate local drag excellence; and
WHEREAS, Royal Grand Duchess Rhonda D’Moore has played a vital role in supporting and promoting signature community events, including the Winter Ball, Harvest Festival, and Pasta Feed, fostering participation, generosity, entertainment, and celebration throughout the realm; and
WHEREAS, she has strengthened relationships between courts through collaborative initiatives such as the East vs. West fundraising competition with the Sister Ducal Court of San Francisco, furthering the spirit of unity and mutual support within the International Court System; and
WHEREAS, deeply committed to youth outreach and community service, Royal Grand Duchess Rhonda D’Moore has worked closely with organizations such as the Queer Teen Alameda Center and the Oakland LGBTQ+ Center, supporting backpack drives, Pride celebrations, and programs that empower and affirm LGBTQ+ youth and community members; and
WHEREAS, through her compassion, leadership, generosity, and unwavering dedication to service, Royal Grand Duchess Rhonda D’Moore has enriched the lives of those around her and exemplified the highest ideals of the International Court System.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County does hereby recognize Royal Grand Duchess Rhonda D’Moore for her outstanding service, leadership, and enduring contributions to the realm, the International Court System, and the communities she so faithfully serves.
