The cost of adding one (1) Health Services Administrator - Level C (VANH) is $209,090.02, including $30,545.89 in pension. The cost of adding two (2) Planner and Evaluator - Level A (VCXC) is $255,068.00, including $37,262.80 in pension. The cost of adding one (1) Senior Public Health Microbiologist (V0TC) is $192,242.82, including $28,084.69 in pension. The cost of adding one (1) Public Health Program Specialist I (VBSD) is $170,953.62, including $24,974.56 in pension.

The savings of cancelling two (2) Disease Intervention Tech - Project (V7W1) positions #17991 and #17992 (40 hrs) is $249,554.28, including $36,457.30 in pension. The savings of cancelling one (1) Public Health Program Specialist I Project (VBS2) position #9445 (40 hrs) is $170,953.63, including $24,974.56 in pension. The savings of cancelling one (1) Senior Public Health Nutritionist (V9TE) position #8256 (40 hrs) is $158,561.34, including $23,164.17 in pension. The savings of cancelling two (2) Laboratory Technician - Project (V092) positions #18227 and #18228 (40 hrs) is $206,963.16, including $30,235.18 in pension.
100% funded by Future of Public Health allocation.
BACKGROUND:
The division received an allocation of $4.8M/year from the state’s Future of Public Health allocation and needs additional positions to meet the program’s deliverables. The funding is intended to support the growth of public health departments, including in the areas of quality, equity, workforce development, personnel, laboratory and any other areas needing infrastructure support to better prepare for future community responses.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If not approved, the affected division would not be able to meet necessary program deliverables.
