Report Title: Contract with Waterproofing Associates, Inc. for On-Call Roofing and Exterior/Interior Waterproofing Services, Countywide.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute a contract with Waterproofing Associates, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $7,000,000, to provide on-call roofing and exterior/interior waterproofing services at various County sites and facilities, for the period of September 15, 2025 through September 14, 2030, Countywide.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Facilities Maintenance Budget. (100% General Fund)
BACKGROUND:
The Public Works Department, Facilities Services, is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all County buildings and facilities. Roofing and exterior/interior waterproofing services are included in this type of maintenance and repair. Government Code Section 25358 authorizes the County to contract for the maintenance and upkeep of County facilities.
The Public Works Department recently conducted a formal solicitation for on-call roofing and exterior/interior waterproofing services in April of 2025. The Request for Proposal was originally bid on Bidnet Direct #RFP_F-Contr-0000000034. After thorough evaluation of the bids received, Waterproofing Associates, Inc. was one of two contractors awarded for these services. This contract will have a term of five (5) years. The contract payment limit will be $7,000,000.
Facilities Services is requesting approval of a contract with Waterproofing Associates, Inc. for the term September 15, 2025 through September 14, 2030, in the amount of $7,000,000.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, on-call roofing and exterior/interior waterproofing services with Waterproofing Associates, Inc. will not be able to continue, and future roofing and waterproofing maintenance will not be completed in a timely manner.
