The Contra Costa County Bar Association (CCCBA) is observing its 90th anniversary, a significant milestone reflecting its enduring commitment to the legal profession and the communities it serves in Contra Costa County.

IN THE MATTER OF RECOGNIZING THE 90TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CONTRA COSTA COUNTY BAR ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, the Contra Costa County Bar Association (CCCBA) is observing its 90th anniversary, a significant milestone reflecting its enduring commitment to the legal profession and the communities it serves in Contra Costa County; and
WHEREAS, since its inception in 1934, the CCCBA has grown immensely, both in membership and in the scope of its contributions to the legal community and the public, dedicated to promoting excellence in legal services and the administration of justice; and
WHEREAS, the CCCBA has been at the forefront of offering continuous professional development opportunities for its members, thereby ensuring that the highest standards of legal practice are upheld within Contra Costa County; and
WHEREAS, through its various committees and sections, the CCCBA has fostered a spirit of collaboration and mentorship among legal professionals, contributing to a robust legal community characterized by integrity, professionalism, and expertise; and
WHEREAS, the CCCBA has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to providing access to justice for all individuals, regardless of socio-economic status, through its voluntary legal services program, pro bono activities, and legal workshops, making a tangible difference in the lives of countless Contra Costa County residents; and
WHEREAS, the association's efforts to engage with the community through educational programs, legal clinics, and charitable activities have strengthened the public's understanding of the law and their rights and responsibilities under it; and
WHEREAS, the CCCBA's dedication to diversity and inclusion has enriched the legal profession in Contra Costa County, creating a more vibrant and representative community of legal practitioners; and
WHEREAS, the 90th Anniversary Gala on April 13, 2024, serves as a testament to the legacy of the CCCBA and its members' unwavering dedication to justice, legal excellence, and community service,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors, on behalf of all citizens, does hereby commend the Contra Costa County Bar Association on its 90th Anniversary. We celebrate its achievements, its pivotal role in our community, and its commitment to fostering a just and equitable society.
