ADOPT a Resolution recognizing Jessi Duffy for 20 years of service to Contra Costa, as recommended by the Public Works Director.

IN THE MATTER OF Recognizing the contributions of Jessi Duffy for her 20 years of service to Contra Costa County
WHEREAS, Jessi Duffy began her career with the Contra Costa County at the Public Works Department on December 5, 2025, as an Engineering Technician-Entry in the Materials & Testing Laboratory; and
WHEREAS, on March 1, 2009, Jessi was promoted to the position of Engineering Technician-Journey, further showcasing her commitment to professional growth and excellence in public work service; and
WHEREAS, in April 2007, Jessi rotated to the Transportation Engineering Division, and subsequently rotated to the Special Districts Unit of the Engineering Services Division in April 2010; and
WHEREAS, on August 17, 2015, Jessi achieved the role of Engineering Technician-Senior, reflecting her dedication; and
WHEREAS, approximately for 4 years, Jessi served as the Engineering Services Division’s Safey Committee Team Member, providing safety training and ensuring safe work areas and practices within the Division; and
WHEREAS, Jessi has been instrumental in inspecting and coordinating street light inspections and maintenance of County-owned street lights; and
WHEREAS, Jessi has successfully facilitated quarterly street light coordination meetings fostering partnership and collaboration with local cities, Pacific Gas & Electric Company, and California Street Light Association; and
WHEREAS, Jessi has been instrumental in ensuring compliance with water regulations and requirements for Community Service Area M-28 Willow Mobile Home Park Water System; and
WHEREAS, Jessi’s hard work, dedication, and professionalism have greatly benefited the Contra Costa County Public Works and the community it serves; and
WHEREAS, Jessi’s contributions have supported the success of numerous projects and initiatives, enhancing the quality of life for residents of Contra Costa County;
WHEREAS, Jessi is an enthusiastic Golden States Warriers fan proud of her Peruvian heritage, and best of all, a loving and dedicated mother.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors does hereby recognizes and honor Jessi Duffy for her 20 years of dedicated service for Contra Costa County and for the outstanding service, dedication, and commitment to excellence.
