Report Title: Purchase Order with Taborda Solutions, Inc. for Tanium Endpoint Licenses and Enterprise Services

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Chief Information Officer, to execute a purchase order with Taborda Solutions, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $1,260,000, for the two-year renewal of a subscription agreement with Tanium, Inc. for Tanium Endpoint Licenses and Enterprise Services, used to identify and remediate software vulnerabilities, subject to the terms of Tanium's March 1, 2022 TaaS (Tanium as a Service) Subscription Agreement, for the period July 15, 2025, through July 14, 2027.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The cost of this product is included in the Department's FY 25/26 budget. 100% User Departments.
BACKGROUND:
In 2022, the Department of Information Technology's Cyber Security division implemented Tanium Endpoint Licensing and Enterprise Services countywide (minus Health Services) as a comprehensive endpoint and application management platform that enables system administrators to efficiently manage, patch, and control applications within their environments.
As a critical security tool, Tanium enhances the County's cybersecurity posture by identifying software vulnerabilities and enabling rapid remediation, ensuring a secure and resilient IT environment.
Taborda Solutions, Inc was selected through RFP _F-Contr-0000000063 in 2025, to provide Tanium Endpoint Licenses and Enterprise Services for two (2) years, with the option for one (1) additional one-year renewal/extension.
Tanium’s TaaS (Tanium as a Service) Subscription Agreement contains an indemnification from the County to Tanium for any claim arising out of the County’s use of the licenses, and a limitation of liability capping liability at the amount of fees paid in the twelve (12) months prior to the act(s) giving rise to the claim.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If the purchase order is not approved, the County will discontinue use of Tanium and access to its system managing, patching, and controls.
