RECOMMENDATIONS:

ADOPT Resolution recognizing Mimi Neal for her 20 years of service to Contra Costa County.

There is no fiscal impact for this action.

See ceremonial resolution.

 

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

RECOGNIZING the contributions of Lametrice (Mimi) Neal on the occasion of her 20 years of service to Contra Costa County

 

WHEREAS, on November 1, 2006, Mimi Neal began her career with Contra Costa County as an Information Systems Assistant II; and

 

WHEREAS, on July 2, 2007, Mimi became a Clerk Experienced Level in the Conservation and Development Department; and

 

WHEREAS, on May 1, 2012, Mimi transferred and promoted to Clerk Senior Level in the Risk Management Department; and

 

WHEREAS, on March 1, 2016, Mimi was promoted to Information Systems Specialist I. As an Information Systems Specialist I, Mimi has overseen the Vector Solutions Learning Management System providing customer services to all County employees and ensuring proper system operation, integrity, and access. Over the years, she has provided software and onboarding support to Risk Management employees; and

 

WHEREAS, Mimi is recognized for her dedicated and distinguished service to the organization. As an Information Systems Specialist, she wears many hats and has been instrumental in preparing and onboarding new employees, ensuring their technology needs are met from day one. She serves as the primary liaison between Risk Management and the county DoIT team, as well as Vector Solutions, providing education, and ongoing support to department Vector Solutions Point of Contacts. In addition to this work, Mimi is also an excellent trainer - supporting Vector Solutions users and guiding claims staff on how to run data reports and make effective use of available tools and resources. Most recently, she has taken an active leadership role in a Risk Management improvement initiative rooted in the 5S Kaizen principles, focused on improving IT inventory and surplus control. Mimi is a trusted and highly knowledgeable resource who welcomes staff reaching out for assistance, drawing on countywide experience to help navigate questions, identify solutions, and connect colleagues with the resources they need. Her friendly and approachable nature, willingness to support others, and genuine commitment to helping staff make her a truly valued member of the organization.

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors does hereby recognize and honor Mimi Neal for her 20 years of service, and gives its full appreciation for her dedicated service to the Risk Management Department and the people of this County.
