Report Title: 40-568-0 Title IIIC-1 Interagency Agreements with City of Oakley

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute an interagency agreement with City of Oakley, to deliver the Older Americans Act Title IIIC-1 Congregate Meal Program services by hosting and coordinating the Area Agency on Aging’s Café Costa meals site for which the County will receive net program income estimated at $2,400 for the period July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026.
FISCAL IMPACT:
County to receive approximately $2,400 in voluntary contributions collected from Café Costa congregate meal program participants in FY 2025-2026.
BACKGROUND:
On June 4, 2024, the Board of Supervisors approved and authorized Consent Item C.40., allowing Employment and Human Services Director or designee to execute nine interagency agreements with Cities to deliver the Older Americans Act Title IIIC-1 Congregate Meal Program services by hosting and coordinating the Area Agency on Aging’s Café Costa meal sites in an amount not to exceed $325,000 for the period July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2026. (100% Program Income).
The additional execution of an interagency agreement with City of Oakley will allow the city to deliver the Older Americans Act Title IIIC-1 Congregate Meal Program services by hosting and coordinating the Area Agency on Aging’s Café Costa meals site in the East County location.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Should the proposed action not be approved by the Board of Supervisors, the County’s Title IIIC-1 Congregate Meal services will not be delivered in East Contra Costa County.
