IN THE MATTER OF RESOLUTION COMMENDING BLODGETT'S FLOOR COVERING ON THE CELEBRATION OF 80 YEARS OF BUSINESS
WHEREAS, the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors is pleased to recognize exceptional local businesses whose dedication, integrity, and commitment have enriched the communities they serve; and
WHEREAS, Blodgett's Floor Covering proudly celebrates 80 years of business, marking eight decades of outstanding service, craftsmanship, and commitment to the residents and businesses of Contra Costa County; and
WHEREAS, founded in 1946 by Kermit Blodgett to serve the growing post-World War II community, the company has remained family owned and operated through three generations, continually adapting to changing products, technologies and customers’ taste while maintaining its founding values of quality workmanship and exceptional customer service;
WHEREAS, under the leadership of the Blodgett family, the business has earned a reputation for excellence throughout the East Bay, providing flooring solutions for countless homes, businesses, schools, and community organizations while building lasting relationships founded on honesty, professionalism, and trust;
WHEREAS, beyond its business success, Blodgett's Floor Covering has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the Lafayette community through decades of civic engagement, charitable giving, support of local organizations, and active participation in community improvement efforts;
WHEREAS, reaching an 80-year milestone is a remarkable achievement that reflects the dedication of the Blodgett family, their loyal employees, valued customers, and the strong community support that has sustained the business across generations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors does hereby congratulate
