RECOMMENDATIONS:
Adopt Resolution No. 2026- recognizing David Klapperich for 20 years of service to Contra Costa County, as recommended by the Public Works Director.

IN THE MATTER OF Recognizing the contributions of David Klapperich on the occasion of his 20 years of service to Contra Costa County
WHEREAS, David Klapperich started employment at Contra Costa County as an Entry Level Engineering Technician at the Materials and Testing Lab on June 12, 2006; and
WHEREAS, David was promoted to Journey level Engineering Technician at the Materials & Testing Lab on January 1, 2010; and
WHEREAS, David rotated to the Transportation Engineering Division on September 17, 2012 as a Journey Engineering Technician; and
WHEREAS, David was praised by a citizen in the Brentwood area on December 15, 2015 in regards to his quick response and actions for resolving a water leak in the roadway; and
WHEREAS, David rotated to the Design/Construction Division on May 16, 2016 as a Journey Engineer Technician; and
WHEREAS, David promoted to Senior Engineer Technician in the Design/Construction Division on March 15, 2019; and
WHEREAS, In September 2024, David was acknowledged by an Alamo resident for his quick actions & coordination with a local utility company to resolve a valve cover in the roadway that was a tripping hazard; and
WHEREAS, In October 2024 David was mentioned for his help in relocating an Oak tree that was set to be removed for an upcoming project; and
WHEREAS, In December 2025, David was mentioned by 3 members of a local utility company about his continued strong support and team effort with them and towards County residents he provides on a daily basis; and
WHEREAS, David received kudos for his involvement in the 2025 West County Surface Treatment group for his inspection service in identifying and marking out base failures in East Richmond and Kensington.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Supervisors does hereby recognize and honor David Klapperich for his 20 years of dedicated service to Contra Costa County and for the high quality of work performed by him during his career.
