Report Title: Appointments to the Workforce Development Board (WDB)

RECOMMENDATIONS:
REAPPOINT four (4) members with terms ending June 30, 2030; and APPOINT four (4) new members with various term end dates on the Workforce Development Board (WDB), as recommended by the Family and Human Services Committee.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact for this action.
BACKGROUND:
Compared to predecessor legislation, the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) substantially changes Local Board composition by reducing local workforce development board size while maintaining a business and industry majority and ensuring representation from labor and employment and training organizations.
At the September 14, 2026, Family and Human Services Meeting, the Committee approved the reappointment of four (4) members with terms ending June 30, 2030, and the appointment of five (5) new members* with various term end dates on the Workforce Development Board, as follows:
