The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County, California

 

IN THE MATTER OF Honoring Lynnette and Scott Gerbert as San Ramon Citizens of the Year

WHEREAS, Lynnette and Scott Gerbert have been recognized as The San Ramon Chamber’s 2023 Citizens of the Year as Community Volunteers and Youth Advocates; and

WHEREAS, Lynnette and Scott connect with local community service opportunities through several community service organizations throughout the San Ramon Valley and beyond; and

WHEREAS, currently the Gerbert’s both hold officer positions with the Dougherty Valley/San Ramon Rotary Club. Scott as President, and Lynnette as Secretary, and truly exemplify the Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self”; and

WHEREAS, Lynnette and Scott have been active volunteers with Girl Scouts of America for many years, having volunteered as Girl Scout troop leaders, and assisted with the Diablo Day Camp, and

WHEREAS, Lynnette and Scott’s family has been involved with the San Ramon Valley’s Run for Education since 1998, and still today help when needed; and

WHEREAS, Lynnette and Scott’s life of service and doing good for others and the community, provides a natural sense of accomplishment and their roles as volunteers are admired and commended by all who know them; and

WHEREAS, Lynette is the Outbound Coordinator for Rotary Youth Exchange and the Gerbert family has hosted many Exchange study-abroad students over the years; and

Now, therefore be it resolved that the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County does hereby honor and congratulate Lynnette and Scott Gerbert

            For their many years of dedication and service to the San Ramon Community
