BACKGROUND:
Occasionally, incumbents of certain positions submit a request to their managers to decrease or increase their position hours. Managers will then evaluate the request based on unit operation requirements and program service needs, determine if it will eliminate overtime costs, and if there are recruitment and retention issues. Managers who approved these requests confirmed that clinics will not be affected by these position requests.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this action is not approved, the department will not be able to fulfill the request of the incumbents and support the operational needs.
