RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Interim Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #23-862 with Computacenter United States Inc., a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $55,624, for Citrix information technology consulting services for the Contra Costa Health Services data centers for the period from June 10, 2025, through June 9, 2026.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this Contract will result in annual expenditures of up to $55,624 and will be funded as budgeted by the department by 100% Hospital Enterprise Fund I.
BACKGROUND:
This Contract meets the needs of the County by providing specialized information technology consulting services and support for the Contra Costa Health Services data centers Citrix Workspace Environment Management (WEM) and Citrix Active Directory Group Policy Object (Citrix AD GPO) environment. A Subject matter expert will deliver consulting services and assistance in designing and deploying Citrix WEM capabilities, reviewing the existing Citrix AD GPO structure, and providing analysis services for system improvement. Computacenter United States Inc. was selected as the vendor to provide these services (of the three vendor quotes obtained by the department) per Administrative Bulletin 600.3 solicitation requirements. Measurable outcomes include service plan deliverables such as WEM design, project planning, and delivery of consulting services. This Contract was approved by Health Services Personnel to ensure there is no conflict with labor relations.
Under Contract #23-862, except for liability arising from (i) negligence or willful misconduct, (ii) personal injury or death, or (iii) claims for breach of the confidentiality provisions of the contract, each party's liability is limited to actual damages not to exceed one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000).
Approval of this new Contract #23-682 allows the Contractor to provide services through June 9, 2026.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Failure to approve this request will result in a diminished capacity to manage and support the infrastructure that is running Epic, our electronic medical records system.
