IN THE MATTER OF honoring Captain Garrett Voerge of the Concord Police Department upon his retirement

 

 

 

WHEREAS, Captain Garrett Voerge began his distinguished career with the Concord Police Department on January 17, 1995, and has dedicated nearly 30 years of exemplary service to the community; and

 

WHEREAS, throughout his career, he proudly wore Badge #350, symbolizing his commitment to public safety, professionalism, and the values of the Concord Police Department; and

 

WHEREAS, Captain Voerge has served in a variety of roles, including Patrol Officer, Special Enforcement Team Officer, Financial Crimes Unit Detective, and Special Operations Officer, earning respect for his skill, dedication, and leadership; and

 

WHEREAS, his leadership within the department includes serving as Dispatch and Communications Supervisor, Field Operations Watch Commander, Special Victims Unit Supervisor, and Field Operations, Administration, and Investigations Division Commander; and

 

WHEREAS, Captain Voerge has been an instrumental part of the Concord Police Department’s success, and his tireless efforts have had a lasting impact on the safety and well-being of the Concord community;

 

WHEREAS, Captain Garrett Voerge is now retiring, and this resolution serves to honor his outstanding service, leadership, and contributions to the department and to the citizens of Concord.

 

 

 

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: that the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors recognizes Captain Garrett Voerge on the occasion of his retirement and honors his hard work and dedication to our community.
