RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent to execute, on behalf of the Interim Health Services Director, a purchase order with OmniPro LLC in an amount not to exceed $46,575 for Patch My PC Enterprise Plus software subscription for the period of August 5, 2025 to August 4, 2028, and execute the Patch My PC, LLC Terms of Service Agreement.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this purchase will result in expenditures of up to $46,575 over a three-year period and will be funded by Hospital Enterprise Fund I revenues.
BACKGROUND:
Contra Costa Health (CCH) needs a Microsoft Windows-based application that automates patching and deployment of large-scaled third-party applications, keeping them up to date on current versions and reducing exposure to cybersecurity threats that integrates directly with System Center Configuration Manager and Intune, systems that are already implemented in the CCH Information Techology (IT) operations.
On July 6, 2023, the Purchasing Agent issued blanket purchase order (BPO) #28318 for various software licenses and subscriptions including Patch My PC in an amount not to exceed $90,000 for the period from July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2026. Due to increased usage and the vendor's introduction of the Terms of Service Agreement, a separate BPO specific to Patch My PC is necessary. The issuance of a new BPO will allow the Purchasing Agent to execute the Terms of Service Agreement and approve the software subscription in an amount not to exceed $46,575 for the period of August 5, 2025 through August 4, 2028.
