Report Title: APPOINTMENT to vacant seat on Transitional Community Advisory Board

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPOINT Alvin Gibson to the vacant alternate 1 seat on the Transitional Community Advisory Board, as recommended by the Equity Committee.

BACKGROUND:
On 8/12/25, the Board of Supervisors (BOS) approved the final implementation plan for the African American Holistic Wellness and Resource Hub (AAHWRH). At that time, the BOS approved the establishment of the Transitional Community Advisory Board (TCAB) for AAHWRH. TCAB’s task is to review and provide feedback on the eligibility and selection criteria for: (1) the Implementation Lead entity; (2) the Executive Director; (3) the Board of Directors; (4) the Community Council. The advisory body will also support the outreach and recruitment efforts for interested and qualified candidates for all positions and roles described above. Members of the Body appointed by the Board of Supervisors shall serve until the TCAB sunsets its operations, tentatively scheduled for January 2027.
After interviewing candidates the Equity Committee selected Alvin Gibson for recommendation for the vacant alternate seat.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If action is not approved, the seat will remain vacant on the Transitional Community Advisory Board which may impact quorum.
