RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, an amendment to a participating addendum with Altec Industries, Inc., to extend the term of the participating addendum through December 27, 2026, with no change to the payment limit, for public utility equipment, related products and services, for use by the Public Works Department under the terms of the Master Contract awarded by the State of Minnesota, Countywide.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Product costs paid by Local Road and Flood Control Funds (100% Local Road and Flood Control Funds)
BACKGROUND:
Contra Costa Purchasing Services is requesting approval of an amendment to the Participating Addendum for the purchase of public utility equipment, related products and services offered through Altec Industries, Inc. Products are guaranteed through the master contract awarded by Sourcewell, a State of Minnesota Public Agency. Approval of the addendum between Contra Costa County and Altec Industries, Inc., allows the County to obtain guaranteed pricing available through Sourcewell. This benefit will support the Public Works Department’s Road Maintenance Division with public utility equipment, related products and services, and provide discounted equipment off published list prices.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Without approval of this agreement, the County would be paying full price for public utility equipment, related products and services purchases.
