Report Title: Contract Amendment/Extension #74-638-1 with Contra Costa County Office of Education

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Interim Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract Amendment/Extension #74-638-1 with the Contra Costa County Office of Education, an educational institution, effective August 1, 2025, to amend Interagency Agreement #74-638, to increase the payment limit by $3,266,306, from $4,347,281 to a new payment limit of $7,613,587 and to extend the termination date from August 30, 2025 to December 31, 2026, for additional support services for Contra Costa school districts, including high-need and underserved school districts for students with behavioral health concerns in the Contra Costa County Wellness in Schools Program (WISP).
FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this Contract Amendment/Extension will result in additional annual expenditures of up to $3,266,306 and will be funded 100% by California's Behavioral Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission (BHSOAC). (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
This Contract is for the Contra Costa County WISP which will enhance existing County partnerships with school-based programs to expand access to mental health services for children and youth, including facilitating campus-based mental health services, linkage, and access to ongoing and sustained services. Contra Costa Behavioral Health child and adolescent mental health services will act as the lead agency in partnership with the Contra Costa County Office of Education and local school districts to implement the program, which will include providing additional staff to support children's mental health needs and create a network of parent peer support providers.
