RECOMMENDATIONS:
ADOPT Resolution approving and authorizing the Public Works Director, or designee, to fully close a portion of Wellesley Avenue, between Arlington Avenue and Stanford Avenue, on January 26, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. through 3:00 p.m., for the purpose of replacing a utility pole, Kensington area. (District I)
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact.
BACKGROUND:
Due to the narrow road width of Wellesley Avenue at the work site, Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E) has requested the road closure to replace the existing utility pole. There is insufficient road width to setup and operate boom trucks and safely maintain through traffic. Applicant shall follow guidelines set forth by the Public Works Department.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Applicant will be unable to close the road to complete planned utility pole replacement.
