IN THE MATTER OF recognizing Aditya Narayan as the 2024 Youth Hall of Fame Awardee for Perseverance



WHEREAS, every March, the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors hosts a celebration in honor of C?sar E. Ch?vez in recognition of his commitment to social justice and respect for human dignity; and
WHEREAS, this year's theme is Perseverance & Progress - Perseverancia y Progreso; and
WHEREAS, we take this opportunity to share stories of local students who are working hard to move us forward and improve the lives of others; and
WHEREAS, we recognize these students with the Youth Hall of Fame Awards during the celebration for their contributions to our community and in the spirit of one of our country's most treasured activists: C?sar E. Ch?vez; and
WHEREAS, the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors is proud to recognize Aditya Narayan, a junior at Dougherty Valley High School in San Ramon, CA; and
WHEREAS, Aditya has turned a chronic medical condition into a calling; and
WHEREAS, Aditya has spent his own time and money doing extensive research on gastroenterology and developing a support system for others; and
WHEREAS, he interns at the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation as a support group facilitator for children ages 11-18, and has contributed to several gastroenterology research studies, including one published in a me...
