CONSIDER accepting a report on Contra Costa County Fire Protection District’s Health and Wellness program initiatives.

BACKGROUND:

 

The discussion on Contra Costa County Fire Protection District’s (“District”) Health and Wellness program initiatives will begin with a brief history and overview of the District, emphasizing the importance of health and wellness in the fire service.

 

Following this introduction, the current problem statement will be defined, outlining the health and wellness challenges fire district personnel face. Relevant statistics and data will highlight the need for effective initiatives. An overview of the District’s health and wellness program will be provided, detailing the critical components of the program and their significance in addressing these challenges.

 

Collaboration efforts between the District and various partners, including the Contra Costa County Fire Chief’s Association, and other County partner fire agencies will be discussed, highlighting the impact of these collaborations on the effectiveness of the health and wellness programs. The presentation will also highlight the District’s and County Chief’s health and wellness goals and objectives for 2024 and 2025, outlining the targeted initiatives planned for the upcoming years.

 

An open discussion will follow, inviting questions and feedback from board members and allowing discussion of any additional concerns or suggestions.
