IN THE MATTER OF recognizing the 50th Anniversary of Contra Costa Senior Legal Services.

 

 

WHEREAS, for fifty years, Contra Costa Senior Legal Services (CCSLS) has provided free, essential legal assistance to older adults throughout Contra Costa County, ensuring that age and limited means are never barriers to justice; and

WHEREAS, since its founding in 1976, CCSLS has protected the dignity, independence, and rights of countless seniors through counsel and advocacy on matters of elder abuse, housing, healthcare, guardianship, and financial security; and

WHEREAS, the dedicated attorneys, staff, board members, and volunteers of CCSLS have exemplified an enduring commitment to public service and to the vulnerable seniors who depend on their expertise and compassion; and

WHEREAS, the impact of CCSLS extends far beyond individual cases, strengthening the entire community by upholding the principle that every senior deserves to be treated with fairness, respect, and equal access to the law; and

 

 

 

 

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors hereby recognizes and celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the Contra Costa Senior Legal Services and commends CCSLS for five decades of dedicated service and its longstanding commitment to protecting and empowering the seniors of our community.
