Report Title: Reissue Payment to Crystal McClendon-Gourdine

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Auditor-Controller, or designee, on behalf of the Employment and Human Services Department, to reissue payment of $8,175 to Crystal McClendon-Gourdine.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% County funds.
BACKGROUND:
A supplier payment to Crystal McClendon-Gourdine for contract services was fraudulently redeemed. The payment in the form of a check was fraudulently altered and cashed. A forged endorsement claim was filed with Wells Fargo and is currently under investigation.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If not approved, Crystal McClendon-Gourdine will not be paid, resulting in service interruptions to the Employment and Human Services Department Community Services Bureau.
