RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract Amendment #23-553-9 with Aspira Technologies, Inc., a corporation, effective December 1, 2024 to amend Contract #23-553-8, to increase the payment limit by $20,000, from $1,547,484, to a new payment limit of $1,567,484, for additional travel with regard to technology support for the Dual-Special Needs Plan (D-SNP) implementation, with no change in the term of July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2026.

FISCAL IMPACT:
This amendment will result in additional contractual service expenditures of up to $20,000 and will be funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I revenues. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:
Aspira provides information technology services to the healthcare industry including project management and technical assistance related to the implementation of California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM), the Contra Costa Health Plan transition to the Single Plan model, and to bring to scale the Behavioral Health Crisis response project A3. Additionally, the contractor will provide oversight of the Information Technology Unit staff, provide technical, policy, and managerial assistance to the Health Services Director and will chair the Division Information Technology Steering Committees that set technology project priorities for the Health Department. Contractor will be responsible for ensuring all updates and modifications to the Departments electronic medical record platform (EPIC) are performed on an as-needed time frame.
