Report Title:                     Amendment No. 3 to the Oracle Master Services Agreement

Recommendation of the County Administrator Recommendation of Board Committee

RECOMMENDATIONS:

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Chief Information Officer, or designee, to execute Amendment No. Three to the Oracle Master Services Agreement dated November 27, 2015, to provide for the addition of Cloud Services to the Master Agreement.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The costs for the purchase of software support and maintenance agreements are borne by each County department requesting services through Oracle. The addition of Cloud Services to the Master Services Agreement itself has no fiscal impact.

BACKGROUND:

The Chief Information Officer, Department of Information Technology, entered into a Master Services Agreement (MSA) with Oracle dated November 27, 2015, which allows County departments the flexibility of purchasing services and supplies through the execution of ordering documents with Oracle without the need to negotiate specific terms and. The MSA is now being amended to include the provision of cloud services to allow for departmental contract negotiations for products such as Peoplesoft and Taleo.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this request is not approved, County departments would not have the authority to execute ordering documents through Oracle for cloud services.
