RECOMMENDATIONS:

ACCEPT the resignation of Melissa Swanson, DECLARE a vacancy in the District I Public Sector seat on the Economic Opportunity Council for a term ending on June 30, 2026 and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

None

 

BACKGROUND:

The Economic Opportunity Council makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on all program proposals and budgets related to Community Services Block Grant and the Weatherization program, and performs other functions as specified in the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964

 

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If the resignation is not accepted and the seat is not declared vacant the Economic Opportunity Council will not have representation from District I
