Report Title: Fund Balance Appropriation for Media Equipment in CCTV

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE Budget Amendment No. BDA-24-00230 authorizing the transfer of fund balance of $103,886 to the Office of Communications & Media/CCTV for the purchase of media related equipment, as recommended by the County Administrator.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Schedule A of the FY 23-24 Adopted Budget includes $3,168,576 of Public, Educational, Government Access Channels in obligated fund balance for CCTV/PEG. This amendment will reduce that amount by $103,886 to provide for the purchase of critical equipment for the operations of CCTV.
BACKGROUND:
Fund Balance Available will be increased in 0005 by $103,886 and capital appropriations will be increased in Org. 1225 (Office of Communications & Media/CCTV) to provide appropriations in FY 23-24 for the purchase of equipment that will be used to generate content that can be aired on CCTV and used for other County-related communications.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Appropriations will not be allocated to provide for the purchase of this necessary equipment to operate CCTV functions and may impact quality of service to County residents.
