SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the County Librarian, or designee, to close the Prewett Library in Antioch on Friday, November 28, 2025 to coincide with the holiday closure of the Antioch Community Center.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
BACKGROUND:
The Antioch Community Center, where the Prewett Library is located, will be closed Friday November 28, 2025. The County Librarian is requesting approval to close the Prewett Library on this day. Permanent staff will be given the option to work elsewhere in the Library system or to use paid leave accruals during the closure.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Library personnel will be required to report to closed building and will not be able to conduct their work.
