RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute a contract with Got Power, Inc. d/b/a CD & Power in an amount not to exceed $3,000,000, to provide on-call generator maintenance and repair services at various County sites and facilities, for the period of August 1, 2026 through July 31, 2031, Countywide.

FISCAL IMPACT:
Facilities Maintenance Budget. (100% General Fund)

BACKGROUND:
The Public Works Department, Facilities Services, is responsible for the maintenance and repairs of all County buildings and properties. Government Code Section 25358 authorizes the County to contract for the maintenance and upkeep of County facilities. On July 31, 2026 two on-call generator maintenance and repair contracts expired after reaching their maximum five-year term.

Work completed under this contract will consist of scheduled routine generator maintenance and repairs as needed to ensure that County generators are functioning as designed. Emergency repair services will also be conducted on an as needed basis.

The Public Works Department recently conducted a formal solicitation for on-call generator maintenance and repair services in January of 2026. The Request for Proposal was originally bid on Bidnet Direct #RFP_F-CONTR-0000000167. After thorough evaluation of the bids received, two contractors were awarded for these services.

This contract will have a term of five (5) years, and the contract payment limit will be $3,000,000. Facilities Services is requesting approval of a contract with Got Power, Inc. d/b/a CD & Power for the term August 1, 2026 through July 31, 2031, in the amount of $3,000,000.
