Report Title:                     MaintStar License and Services Agreement

Recommendation of the County Administrator Recommendation of Board Committee

RECOMMENDATIONS:

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute a License and Services Agreement with MaintStar, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $130,210.65, for their MaintStar Enterprise Asset Management Software (EAMS), MaintStar Mobile Citizen software, and associated hosting and support services, for the period of February 27, 2024, through February 26, 2025, Countywide.

FISCAL IMPACT:

100% Public Works Roads and Flood Control Funds.

BACKGROUND:

Contra Costa County Public Works Department (Public Works) maintains over 660 miles of roads, 79 miles of creeks and channels, and 29 detention basins and dams throughout Contra Costa County. Since 2003, Public Works has used MaintStar, a Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS), to track, plan, and administer County road and flood control maintenance work, timesheet billing, and horizontal asset management. This License and Services Agreement will allow Public Works to continue to use MaintStar’s Web-Based Work Request System and Mobile Citizen modules, as well as their associated hosting and support services.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If the License and Services Agreement with MaintStar is not executed, the Public Works Department will not be able to continue to use MaintStar and its modules to track, plan, and administer County road and flood control maintenance work, timesheet billing, and horizontal asset management.
