Report Title:                     Rodeo Library Allocation Recommendation from the Community Impact Fund- Supervisorial District V

Recommendation of the County Administrator Recommendation of Board Committee

 

RECOMMENDATIONS:

 

1.                     APPROVE the allocation of Supervisorial District V Community Impact Funds in an amount of $22,000 to the Contra Costa County Library; for the continued operation of extended hours at the Rodeo Library from January 1, 2026 to June 30, 2026.

 

2.                     APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the County Administrator’s Office to initiate a journal transfer of $22,000 from the District V Community Impact Fund for Rodeo Library operations from January 1, 2026 to June 30, 2026.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

 

The District V Community Impact Fund will have a remaining balance of $978,000.

 

BACKGROUND:

 

On June 24, 2025, the Board approved the allocation of $1 million per District from COVID-19 FEMA Reserve funds (now General Fund Appropriation for Contingencies) for direction by each District Supervisor following a community engagement process within each Supervisorial District.

 

 

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

 

The operating hours of the Rodeo Library will be reduced.
