ADOPT a resolution recognizing Kenneth Dahl for 35 years of service to Contra Costa County, as recommended by the Public Works Director.

IN THE MATTER OF Recognizing the contributions of Kenneth Dahl on his 35 years of service to Contra Costa County

WHEREAS, Kenneth Dahl began his career with Contra Costa County at the Public Works Department on May 1, 1990, as an Engineering Technician - Entry Level, reporting to the Design Division; and

WHEREAS, in January of 1991, Ken was assigned to the Surveys section in the Design Division; and

WHEREAS, in 1993, Ken was promoted to the position on Engineering Technician-Journey Level in the survey section of the Design Division and assigned Survey Party Chief where he was recognized for his quick study and attention to details; and

WHEREAS, in 1997, Ken was promoted to Engineering Technician-Senior Level and assigned to the Construction Division when the division needed extra assistance to inspect a large number of Construction projects; and

WHEREAS, in 1998, Ken rotated to the Engineering Services Division and then back to the Survey Section in the Design Division in 1999 to provide additional assistance; and

WHEREAS, in May of 2000, Ken rotated back to the Engineering Services Division; and

WHEREAS, in January of 2008, Ken received an Award of Excellence for his continuing dedication to being a team player. Ken staffed the Application and Permit Center when it was located at 651 Pine Street in downtown Martinez. For two weeks he staffed the APC all the while contin...
