Report Title: Resignation Member at Large #2 Seat on the Advisory Council on Aging
☒Recommendation of the County Administrator ☐ Recommendation of Board Committee

RECOMMENDATIONS:
ACCEPT the resignation of Shirley Krohn, DECLARE a vacancy of the Member at Large #2 seat on the Advisory Council on Aging for term ending September 30, 2026, and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy, as recommended by the Employment and Human Services Director.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None
BACKGROUND:
Shirley Krohn was appointed by the Board of Supervisors to the Member at Large #2 seat on the Advisory Council on Aging (ACOA) on November 2, 2004, with a term ending September 30, 2026.
The ACOA provides county-wide planning, cooperation, and coordination for individuals and groups interested in improving and developing services and opportunities for older residents of the County. The ACOA provides leadership and advocacy on behalf of older adults and serves as a channel of communication and information on aging.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The seat will not be declared vacant and new appointment to the position will not be able to be made. This could cause issues with achieving quorum for the Council and potentially impact their ability to hold meetings.
