Report Title: Contract #74-054-35 with Community Health for Asian Americans

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #74-054-35 with Community Health for Asian Americans, a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $591,791, to provide Substance Use Disorder (SUD) prevention services for youth in West Contra Costa County, for the period July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2029.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this Contract will result in annual budgeted expenditures of up to $591,791 over a three-year period and will be funded 100% by Substance Abuse Block Grant revenues.
BACKGROUND:
This Contract meets the social needs of County's population by providing specialized substance use disorder treatment services so that men and women, including women with children, are provided an opportunity to achieve and maintain sobriety and to experience the associated benefits of self-sufficiency, family reunification, cessation of criminal activity and productive engagement in the community. The County has been contracting with Community Health for Asian Americans, since April 2000 to provide, operate, and administer SUD prevention and treatment program services as certified by the State of California and Contractor must operate under the terms and conditions of the Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System (DMC-ODS) and must be provided in its facility(ies) referenced in County Health Services Alcohol and Other Drugs (AODS) Department's Work Plan.
This Contract is entered into under and subject to the following legal authorities: California Government Code ?? 26227 and 31000.
