RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute on behalf of the Employment and Human Services Director, a purchase order with General Datatech, in an amount not to exceed $142,927 for the purchase of Palo Alto Networks Cloudgenix, subject to Palo Alto Networks End User License Agreement, for the period December 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025.

FISCAL IMPACT:
$142,926.04: 54% Federal, 38% State, and 8% County General Fund; all of which is budgeted in FY 24/25.

BACKGROUND:
The Employment and Human Services Department (EHSD), needs to purchase Cloudgenix ION 1200's through General Datatech (GDT), Limited Partnership that are used for hardware base virtual private network (VPN) connectivity at small county offices and home offices. This enables EHSD to replace existing VPN devices with devices that have enhanced security capabilities. It will also enable control of what devices are allowed to connect to the county network. This purchase order is subject to Palo Alto Networks' End User License Agreement which contains a limitation of liability, capping liability at the greater amount of fees paid for the subscription or $1,000,000. This vendor was selected per procurement requirements outlined in Administrative Bulletin 600.3.
