Report Title: APPROVE and AUTHORIZE State Match Agreement with Caltrans for Fiscal Year 2025/2026, Countywide.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute the agreement with the State of California, Department of Transportation (Caltrans) to receive $100,000 in state matching funds for transportation purposes during the period July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026, Countywide.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This agreement will authorize the County to receive the amount of $100,000 from the State Matching funds.
BACKGROUND:
The Federal Apportionment State Match Program Agreement No. X26-5928(190) specifies that Caltrans agrees to pay the County $100,000 from the unobligated balance of its State Matching monies for Fiscal Year 2025/2026. The money must be used for transportation purposes in accordance with Article XIX of the California State Constitution.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Failure to approve this agreement will eliminate a potential funding source.
