Report Title: Allocation of $40,000 from the Livable Communities Trust (District II portion) related to the San Ramon Valley Street Smarts Program

RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute a memorandum of understanding with the City of San Ramon, to pay the city $20,000 as the County's share for participating in the San Ramon Valley Street Smarts Program (Program) during the period from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, San Ramon area, as recommended by Supervisor Andersen.

2. AUTHORIZE the Director of Conservation and Development, or designee, to allocate $40,000 from District II's portion of Livable Communities Trust Fund monies, to be transferred and held by the Public Works Department and used to pay the County's share of the costs to participate in the Program during the period July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2027 ($20,000 in FY 2025/26; and $20,000 in FY2026/27, subject to a future Board approval of a Program memorandum of understanding for FY 2026/27).

FISCAL IMPACT:
No General Fund monies are involved. This action allocates $40,000 from the District II portion of Livable Communities Trust Fund (Fund) monies. The current balance in the District II portion of the Fund is $1,473,888.92 (prior to the allocation).

BACKGROUND:
Livable Communities Trust Fund
The Livable Communities Trust Fund is a Special Revenue Mitigation Fund that was established by the Board of Supervisors on November 15, 2005, following the approval of the Camino Tassajara Combined General Plan Amendment Project, also known as the Alamo Creek and Intervening Property residential projects, and was required as a condition of approval.
