Report Title:                     Purchase Order for Traffic and Parking Control Co., LLC, Countywide.

Recommendation of the County Administrator Recommendation of Board Committee

 

RECOMMENDATIONS:

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute, on behalf of the Public Works Director, a purchase order with Traffic and Parking Control Co., LLC, in an amount not to exceed $25,000 to supply traffic control products and supplies on an as-needed basis for the period of April 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027, Countywide.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

Facilities Maintenance Budget. (100% General Fund)

 

BACKGROUND:

The Public Works Department, Facilities Services Division, is responsible for maintaining all County buildings, properties, and roads. Traffic control repairs and improvements are included in this required maintenance.

 

Facilities Services Division uses Traffic and Parking Control Co., LLC as our provider for traffic signal controllers, sensors, and other related electronic supplies.

 

The Traffic and Parking Control Co., LLC Terms and Conditions contain limitation of liability and liability cap language that has been reviewed by County Counsel.

 

Facilities Services is requesting approval for a one-year purchase order with Traffic and Parking Control Co., LLC for the term April 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027, in the amount of $25,000.

 

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this purchase order is not approved, procurement of  traffic control parts and equipment with Traffic and Parking Control Co., LLC will not be able to continue, and access to traffic control signals and sensors will be limited.
