Report Title: Amendment No. 3 for On-Call Architectural Services with tBP/Architecture, Inc. (TBP)

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute a contract amendment with TBP/Architecture, Inc., effective July 14, 2026, to increase the payment limit by $200,000 to a new payment limit of $2,800,000 and extend the term from July 31, 2026 to July 31, 2027, to provide on-call architectural services for various projects, Countywide.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% Various Funds. Projects will be assigned to the on-call architect when there is an approved project and funding.
BACKGROUND:
On July 11, 2023, the Board of Supervisors approved an on-call Consulting Services Agreement with tBP/Architecture, Inc. (TBP), in the amount of $900,000 to provide on-all architectural services for various County facilities projects. On February 26, 2024, the Board of Supervisors approved to increase the payment limit to $1,900,000.00 in Addendum No. 1. On June 25, 2024, the Board of Supervisors approved to increase the payment limit to $2,600,000.00 in Addendum No. 2. The original contract term was never modified.
The contract term is nearly coming to an end. TBP is currently engaged to provide services on multiple County projects and due to TBP's role as architect of record for these important County projects, it is imperative that TBP remain involved and contracted through project completion. Amendment No. 3 is intended to provide Public Works the means to keep them engaged on these projects and potentially on others that TBP has had earlier involvement with or is particularly well-suited for.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If the amendment is not approved, the County will not be able to use its on-call Consulting Services Agreement to keep TBP engaged on important County project...
