RECOMMENDATIONS:

 

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute an agreement on behalf of the County with CivicPlus, LLC in an amount not to exceed $21,000 to provide digital accessibility support using AudioEye Managed software for the County website, contracosta.ca.gov, from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

 

Approval of this contract will result in annual contractual service expenditures up to $21,000 and will be funded by 100% cable franchise fees. (100% FRANCHISE FEES)

 

BACKGROUND:

 

CivicPlus, LLC, provides AudioEye software, which is a digital accessibility tool that provides automated solutions to find and fix common accessibility issues, continuous monitoring, and trusted certification. This contract includes mutual indemnification and limited liability language to hold harmless both parties for any claims arising out of the performance of this contract.

 

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

 

If not approved, the County website could be at risk of accessibility issues that impact the online user experience.
