Report Title: Conflict of Interest Code of the Contra Costa County Employees’ Retirement Association
☒Recommendation of the County Administrator ☐ Recommendation of Board Committee

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE amendments to the Conflict of Interest Code of the Contra Costa County Employees’ Retirement Association.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
BACKGROUND:
The Contra Costa County Employees’ Retirement Association (“CCCERA”) has amended its conflict of interest code and submitted the revised code, attached as Exhibit A, to the Board for approval pursuant to Government Code sections 87306 and 87306.5.
The conflict of interest code in Exhibit A has been revised pursuant to Senate Bill 852, which made changes to the Political Reform Act by adding “public officials who manage public investments” to the list of individuals for whom the Fair Political Practices Commission is the filing officer as of January 1, 2026. This change will ensure that the conflict of interest code for CCCERA accurately reflects its current positions and organizational structure and is consistent with the recent legislation. A red-lined version of the conflict of interest code is attached as Exhibit B.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
None.
