IN THE MATTER OF RESOLUTION HONORING THE MORAGA LIONS CLUB
FOR ITS OUTSTANDING SERVICE AND COMMUNITY IMPACT

WHEREAS, the Moraga Lions Club, established in 1956, has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to serving the Moraga community and surrounding areas through volunteerism, philanthropy, and civic engagement; and
WHEREAS, the Moraga Lions Club continues to play a vital role in enriching community life by organizing and supporting local events, including the annual Pear Festival, Commons Concerts, the Moraga Commons Halloween Party, and partnerships with local fire departments and community service initiatives; and
WHEREAS, the Club has shown exceptional dedication to supporting youth, seniors, and families through scholarships, student recognition programs, leadership development via Leo Clubs, and service projects benefiting vulnerable populations; and
WHEREAS, the Moraga Lions Club actively contributes to regional and global causes through charitable giving, with over $51,000 in donations in 2025 supporting a wide range of organizations, including those focused on health, education, disability services, and humanitarian relief; and
