Report Title:                     ALLOCATION OF COMMUNITY IMPACT FUNDS - TEEN ESTEEM

Recommendation of the County Administrator Recommendation of Board Committee

RECOMMENDATIONS:

1.                     APPROVE the allocation of $5,000 in Supervisorial District II Community Impact Funds to Teen Esteem to support service coordination efforts and enhance the delivery of services within Supervisorial District II.

2.                     APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the District II Supervisor, or designee, to enter into a contract related to the allocation Community Impact Funds identified in Recommendation No. 1 above.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This action will result in a new allocation of Community Impact Funds to Teen Esteem of $5,000, which is funded by Supervisorial District II Community Impact Fund.

BACKGROUND:

On June 24, 2025, the Board allocated $1 million per Supervisorial District from COVID 19-FEMA Reserve funds (now General Fund Appropriation for Contingencies) for direction by each District Supervisor following a community engagement process with each Supervisorial District.

Teen Esteem will facilitate collaboration among District II school districts, community-based organizations, and Tri-Valley students to improve coordination and delivery of student and parent services across District II.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The Community Impact Fund allocation sponsored by Supervisorial District II will not be formally approved by the Board.
