Report Title:                     ADOPT Resolution to Establish the classification of Health Services Appointment Unit Manager and reclassify one (1) vacant Health Services System Coordinator position

 

RECOMMENDATIONS:

ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 26386 to establish the classification of Health Services Appointment Unit Manager (VAGG) at salary plan and grade ZA5 1014 ($6960.54 - $8460.56) and reclassify one (1) vacant (position #8054) Health Services Appointment System Coordinator (VCHC) at salary plan and grade level K65 1452 ($6,605.14 - $8,028.59) to the new Health Services Appointment Unit Manager classification.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no immediate fiscal impact resulting from this action.

 

BACKGROUND:

In response to a request from the Health Services Department, Human Resources (HR) conducted a classification study on a previously incumbered Health Services Appointment Systems Coordinator position. The results of the study determined that the work performed by this position did not fit within any current classification and HR is recommending establishment of the Health Services Appointment Unit Manager classification.

 

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this action is not approved, the Health Services Department will not have the appropriate structure to conduct needed tasks within the Appointment Unit.
