Report Title: Participating Addendum with Federal Express Corporation
☒Recommendation of the County Administrator ☐ Recommendation of Board Committee

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute, on behalf of the County and the Public Works Director, a Participating Addendum with Federal Express Corporation, in an amount not to exceed $250,000, for the purchase of Small Package Delivery Service for use County-Wide, during the period of August 5, 2025 through November 27, 2026 under the terms of the Master Contract awarded by NASPO and the State of Utah and offered through the State of California, Department of General Services, Countywide.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Product and service costs paid by County Departments (100% County Departments)
BACKGROUND:
Contra Costa County Purchasing Services is requesting approval of a Participating Addendum for the purchase of Small Package Delivery Service offered through Federal Express Corporation. Products are guaranteed through the master contract awarded by NASPO ValuePoint and State of Utah. Approval of the Participating Addendum between Contra Costa County and Federal Express Corporation, allows the County to obtain guaranteed pricing available through the NASPO ValuePoint agreement and the State of Utah and offered through the State of California, Department of General Services. The purchase will support Departments County Wide with Small Package Delivery Service at substantially less than we would without this benefit.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Without approval of this agreement, County Departments would be paying full price for Small Package Delivery purchases we make today.
