Recommendation of the County Administrator Recommendation of Board Committee

RECOMMENDATIONS:

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute a lease amendment with Ambrose Recreation and Parks District, a California special district, as lessor, to extend the term of an existing lease of  approximately 5,193 square feet of office space within the community center located at 3105 Willow Pass Road in Bay Point for a five year term beginning January 1, 2026 and permitting two five-year renewal options at an initial monthly rate of $8,265.75 for the first year with annual increases thereafter.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Lease costs are charged to EHSD (100% General Fund).

BACKGROUND:

The County has been leasing the premises at 3105 Willow Pass Road in Bay Point since 1996. The County provides employment and career counseling services at that location for the local community. This lease amendment will provide for the continuation of those services.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this lease is not amended, the County will not be able to continue to provide employment and career counseling services from this location and the County will incur additional expenses in finding a new location.
