RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute, on behalf of the Public Works Director, a Participating Addendum with ST Engineering Leeboy, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $3,000,000, for the purchase of road paving equipment, for use by the Public Works Department, during the period of October 7, 2025 through August 1, 2026, under the terms of the Master Contract awarded by Sourcewell, a State of Minnesota public agency.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% Local Road Funds
BACKGROUND:
Contra Costa Purchasing Services is requesting approval of a Participating Addendum for the purchase of road paving equipment offered through ST Engineering Leeboy, Inc. Products are guaranteed through the master contract awarded by Sourcewell, a State of Minnesota public agency Contract No. 060122-VTL. Approval of the addendum between Contra Costa County and ST Engineering Leeboy, Inc., allows the County to obtain guaranteed pricing available through the Sourcewell contract No. 060122-VTL. The purchase will support Public Works Road Maintenance with the purchase of road paving equipment providing a 10% discount off-list pricing.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Without approval of this agreement, the Public Works Department would be paying full price on the purchase of road paving equipment.
